We are excited to share the ProgCode Strategy for Spring–summer 2017. Winter presented a clear problem within ProgCode: how do we build a robust decision-making system that fits the kind of organization we have. Now that we have arrived at a great solution, we must leverage it for the benefit of the applications we support.

CommonPlace is a civic-minded, not-for-profit, and open source web platform for local community engagement.
Local community matters. Interactions between neighbors, participation in civic life, collective trust, and norms of reciprocity are key to the prosperity of American towns. Unless we develop new civic institutions to re-connect us to our neighbors and our towns, we will lose that civic spirit that makes our democracy work.
