All the doomsday prep shows. All the movies about apocalypses. That’s what I feel like is slowly happening with this coronavirus outbreak.

I wonder if it was this bad when SARS and MERS happened. I was too young at the time to understand the ramifications and the impact of everything. But this — this coronavirus seems to have everyone worried and concerned. Covid-19 has finally made its way full-steam to California and people are visibly freaking out.

Grocery shelves are running out of pasta. Costco is running out of toilet paper. BART is empty during rush hour?!?

Work has enacted a work from home policy until the end of the month. And with that, I have mixed feelings. Working from home is GREAT for one day a week, but I could not make a routine out of staying at home for the next three weeks — no can do.

The lack of a schedule, lack of structure, lack of human interaction would have an impact. Which makes me think that we’re so dependent on others, that we are social creatures, that we need stimulation and order. Something I once craved — working from home—is now something I hope I won’t have to be doing for the next three weeks.
