Metaphors. They’re so powerful and can elicit imagery and ways of understanding that are so deep and profound. They add another layer, another dimension, they add another layer of meaning.
Not only metaphors, but themes, motifs, personification — they’re all so poetic and beautiful.
You can turn anything into a metaphor. The body, colors, names, punctuation, animals, furniture, the weather, nature, you name it. The possibilities are endless with what your mind can drum up.
