Day 30: Lockdown
The wind picks up the leaves, carrying it across the quiet, eerie streets. The streets used to be filled with people — people with their ambitions, walking around heavy with dreams on their shoulders. But with the lockdown order, freedom is a privilege no longer granted.
Civilians are confined to the four walls of their homes — that is, if they have homes. Those that do, are the lucky ones. The homeless remain huddled out on the streets, with nowhere to hide, nowhere to go.
Those that have jobs, are even luckier. With the closures of non-essential businesses, the service industry has taken a hefty hit.
Any order and schedule that accompanied the rhythm and normalcy of life has now dissipated. Stability has been replaced with uncertainty.
