9/22 Update: This project is now live at BuyMyFuture.com

What Does My Girlfriend Think About This?

Hopefully this is another fun audio journal entry for you. My amazing life partner Caroline is the talent behind the design of Project Galaxy, but has also offered a ton of great feedback and strategic thinking.

We chatted about the design process, her first impressions of this crazy idea, and we talked about me getting sick this week (ughhh):

Oh, and I also wanted to share some bad news for this project…

When people back out :(

Yesterday I spent some time doing some follow ups with people who had committed to be partners with Project Galaxy (more on partners on Day 33). During those follow ups, two people backed out. Damn.

Now, I’d like to tell you that it was totally fine and not a big deal. But it kind of sucked. If I give someone my word that I’m going to do something, come hell or high water, I’m doing that thing. But I do understand that things come up and these people have their own businesses to run. Woosah.

After about 4 minutes of sulking, I took a deep breath, highlighted their name in bold red in my partner spreadsheet, and moved on with my day.

There are always going to be bumps in the road. Those bumps can bring you to a complete halt or you can find your way over them and keep moving forward.

So I lost two partners. Oh well. I have 14 others who will knock it out of the park with me. Time to focus on them and everything else on my to-do list!

Day 44 >>

This entry is part of a 60-day journal I’m writing that will share all my planning, strategies, pre-launch efforts, and marketing tactics leading up to a big crazy project codenamed Project Galaxy. Start reading here.
