My stepmom, Deb, is kind of hard to find gifts for. But she loves to cook, and she likes antique decorations, so when her birthday came around, I started to think: Maybe I could make her a vintage-style “Deb’s Kitchen” sign as a gift. I had done sign work before; how hard could this one be?

Much harder, turns out. As in, I missed that birthday, and nearly missed a second one. But I learned a lot along the way. Follow along in the video above.
