Project Wyvern ERC20 Port Completion

Synopsis

The Project Wyvern team has completed the ERC20 token port. A snapshot has been taken of block 315000 from the original Wyvern blockchain and the Merkle tree root of that snapshot embedded in an Ethereum smart contract to allow Wyvern tokenholders to redeem their unspent transaction outputs for ERC20 WYV tokens.

The Wyvern DAO, the distributed autonomous organization charged with governing the Wyvern Exchange instantiation and furthering the development of the Exchange protocol, has received an allowance of 140,231 WYV tokens (about 7% of total supply), to be utilized in the future as DAO shareholders see fit.

How to claim ERC20 tokens

If you held Wyvern at block 315000, you can claim ERC20 WYV tokens at a one-to-one ratio. Head on over to redeem.projectwyvern.com, which will walk you through the process.

Note: At the moment, the Ethereum network is particularly congested, so if you have many UTXOs to redeem gas costs may be higher than you would like. There is no deadline for UTXO redemption — you can wait until gas costs are lower and redeem your WYV tokens then.

Once you redeem tokens, you can connect to the Wyvern DAO with the DApp at dao.projectwyvern.com, and you should see yourself listed as a shareholder (make sure you configure Metamask correctly):
