Meta
This is the twelfth in the weekly Project Wyvern development update series. If you missed last week’s update, find it here (apologies for the brief update hiatus, should be back regularly on Sundays now).
Development
- The Wyvern Exchange now supports Angel Battles (open orders, example order) and ChainMonsters (open orders). If you have a suggestion for an asset you would like to see listed, submit an issue to the wyvern-schemas repository.
- The second version of the Wyvern Protocol (codename Bakunawa) has been deployed to the Ethereum mainnet and approved by the Wyvern DAO. The new protocol can be used right now, although the Wyvern Exchange will wait for version 2.1.
- Version 2.1 of the Wyvern Protocol, featuring EVM-specific bytecode replacement gas optimizations, has been deployed to Ethereum’s Rinkeby testnet — feel free to play around with it, feedback welcome.
Upcoming
- Refreshed Wyvern Protocol homepage to better explain the project, describe protocol features, and show developers how to get started.
- Simple Wyvern OTC webapp and embeddable widget to demonstrate the flexibility of the protocol and enable users to embed Ethereum assets for sale or purchase directly into their websites.
- Protocol developer documentation on the Wyvern Wiki, and a tutorial series.
Community
- Wyvern’s Twitter handle has been changed to WyvernProtocol to clarify the distinction between Wyvern, the protocol (which can be used by anyone) and the Wyvern Exchange (which may also be renamed in the future).
Happy trading!
