An Acoustic Mind — The Song of Art
How the mind of an artist should be and how adorable it is to be with an artist
The art. What do we know about art when we say it is the science of mind that defines the process of getting things done? “Hell, yeah. It makes sense.” Being different and the ability to see the unseen in every aspect of life is called art. It generally stays in humans. We also can observe spiders that construct their web, Insects get together to carry food, Monkeys dance and act like mindless. In every action of living organisms, art is infused and the way the observer sees that activity is also an art.
When it comes to humans, we live each day as we live our life eternally by believing in the things that capture the depth of attention to detail. There is an ordinance to our brain. It works like a machine to non-artistic things. Generally, when we are creative we can observe the broadness that presents in our minds. The title of this article is, “An acoustic mind” which explains about art that is present in our minds.
How to extract the artistic, creative part of our brain that is working or while we are watching movies or when we are talking to someone? The answer is quite simple, just think like an artist. But, How to think like an artist? Again, the answer is easy for this. Start being like an artist. How to be like an artist? Answer for this is, start seeing things that others can’t see. You need not be gifted to become an artist. All you need is Patience.
I lived my life for 3 years with an artist and understood each step how they invent when they work. She was my best friend and I lived with her for 3 years. I am not an artist to observe every creator’s move but here are the things I observed from her. She is the best artist I have known to date.
- Artists are Lazy.
- They are incredibly well versed in their skills.
- They arrange things well.
- They will never get satisfied with the static arrangements. They always change directions and positions of their collections.
- They like to shop and always keep pencils with them.
- They are the huge lovers of drawing books and pens. Especially, black ink pens. (Waterproof)
- Their minds are always like a child. Hard to convince but it is cute to watch their stupidity.
- They live in their world and worried about none.
- They don’t need any inspiration to draw or to paint. When they pick up brushes or crayons, the power of art simply talks in their masterpiece.
- Final attribute and the most adorable, they have tremendous patience and focus when they draw even if it is for a min or two.
For Non-Artists:
Whatever I learned about art in my life, I just witnessed people who are creative and call themselves that. I am the worst artist. Whenever I take a pencil or pen to draw something, Obama becomes Trump and DaVinci becomes Plato.
There is also one saying, artists are those who build their minds to see things that others can’t see. I never observed or witnessed that philosophy thought. Every human seems to be different for me. Every face has got its value and every mind is the same. How to see artists in non-artistic eyes? This is for the folks like me, I’d rather say just go and talk to unknown and ask their name and Date of birth. Do it for 5 people then you will get to know how different those 5 answers would be. When you can see the difference, think yourself as an artist and for giving unique responses each 5 of them will also become artists. Art is uniqueness and as long as there are people, everyone possess their way. Everyone is artists and anyone can be a great artist if he/she shows great patience and focus toward the things they are doing.
We are the humans, after all, never take away yourself from the vision to see you as an artist. To be creative or to think creative follow these steps:
- In a day, focus on something for 60 seconds. Eg. Think only about the person you might want to become in the future and believe yourself as an artist who is creative enough to change the perspective of others and help them to achieve their dreams.
- Assume the worst and see the best in it. Eg. Assume the worst has happened to you and there is nothing worse than this to happen. In my case, it is being alone. Then, tune your mind to assume that you are in the middle of 1000 people who care for you. This immediate transition of your brain leads you to think creatively and when the worst happens to you, you will have the ability to come around it quickly.
- Draw or paint every day. To improve your focus, try to increase your hand intuitiveness. Leave your hand as free as it gets. Draw something every day to make sure you will never stay out of touch.
- Practice calligraphy and try to strike out in a blank sheet of paper as much as you can. This improves the easiness of your hand. When your hand is free, only then you can draw beautiful images.
I came along from a non-artistic to an artistic guide. All these points above I mentioned helps you to lay a foundation on your artistic journey.
Art is not about drawing beautiful pictures. It is about the coordination between your hand and the brain. When you can write what you see, you can be an artist of your kind. It takes a lot of practice and endeavors to get that understanding. An art stamps creativity into your subconscious and makes your life as uniquely yours.
Conclusion:
Try an activity to write every day. Assume your face and try to write in a sheet of paper. It doesn’t matter how bad you draw. Just observe the same after 365, days of continuous effort. You will be writing your face perfectly.
Be Consistent, Patient and Focussed. That is what every artist do. At least my best friend did that in those 3 years. She never left loving art and being like an artist.
