MacBook Air or HP Victus RTX 3060? A Coding Tutor’s Dilemma
Podcasting. Writing. Twitch Streaming and YouTube Video Production. My life is evolving into that of a content producer. I eventually chose to purchase, HP Victus RTX 3060. Amazon India says, it will arrive this week.
This week, my beloved RTX 3060 from Zotac, died. Again. I am upset about that. However, I expected this. Replacement computers rarely have the same reliability as the original equipment. I have long resigned to the fact that the Zotac 3060 will be in and our of repairs as long as I keep using it.
You can read more about my Zotac story, here.
I have already contacted Zotac Support, and they have promptly agreed to collect my machine. Perhaps, they will try and repair. Or, they will simply replace it with a new machine or a refurbished machine, like last time. I understand. computers are machines.
Machines, break down man.
However, I recently took upon the mammoth task of streaming classes. It’s important to me, personally, to do these online free coding classes. I have to do it.
So, I need another computer to take over streaming duties whilst the Zotac RTX 3060 is going through repairs.
I have two choices in front of me.
- Macbook Air, M1 or M2.
- HP Victus RTX 3060, intel edition. (not a big fan of AMD, sorry).
Both are very good computers. Apple, obviously, is amazing. I get portability, a new Mac is currently a want for me. My old Macbook is ageing and has become extremely slow for daily use. It’s currently in storage and used in case of emergencies.
Unfortunately, I cannot do .NET at full speed on Mac. Also, apple charges a bomb for extra storage and RAM. Also, the lack of ports. I mean, for streaming, I need at least half a dozen USB ports, and even more display ports.
With that in mind, I decided to choose HP Victus.
Now, I await it’s arrival.
