Pretend Speak like an Experienced Developer — 2

Use these casual developer dialogues to pretend like you know what you are talking, even when you don’. general warning: lying in your IT job might actually get you promoted and earn more money.

“Musk just bought twitter. Does this mean, the version numbers of API will get randomly assigned depending on what mood he is on that day?”

“My boss was thinking that we should build an open source demo app to showcase our new development team. I suggested we go truly open source with mapping. Download the data dump from OpenStreetMap, and put it on our API server. That way dont have to worry about hitting the rate limits of their services. For the front end, I was thinking, we use leaflet. Obviously, we can always just use Google Maps API”

“I am still divided if I should use JIRA or Trello for my next project. JIRA is more Agile complaint which people are always asking for. At the same time, Trello seems simpler and easier to manage. It also looks less complicated. I miss the old days when I used to schedule everything on excel sheets along with a pen and notebook”

“Oh my god. Does Microsoft Teams have hulk genes or what. This thing needs more resources than an photorealism renderer. I swear, when the last meeting went on for more than 2 hours, I almost expected the PC to just go up in flames out of sheer high resource usage”

“The trainer that was teaching our batch coding, eventually quit out of sheer boredom. I think he did not fully realize that he was going to be teaching us technology that is not only outdated, that his students, us, will rarely bother to interact with him, ask questions or even submit an assignment that is worth his time. Seriously, I feel for him. He should lower his expectations next time or find a batch that deserves his knowledge and experience”

I work as a full-time freelance coding tutor. Hire me at UpWork or Fiverr or Stack Overflow. My personal website is here. Find more of my art at Behance and Unsplash. Also, I have a Podcast about everyday life. And, a 2nd Podcast, where I talk about freelancing.
