General

Promposity is a publication intended to provide inspiration and excitement about the writing process and the final pieces you create. Prompts will be provided for poetry, fiction and other types of writing such as screen play or stage play scenes. There may also be opportunities to respond to calls for non-fiction pieces about how to write different types of fiction, poetry and other creative writing forms such as screenplays and stage play scenes.

We want to create a community where writers support each other’s efforts and can participate in multiple ways in the publication. This may be as writers, editors, and prompt writers as well as through collaborative efforts. New features will be added over time and suggestions will always be welcome!

Guidelines

Use the prompt and your best storytelling skills to create a piece where the prompt, object, or words appear in a significant way in your work. While you will have some latitude in how you interpret the prompt, it must be meaningfully integrated into your piece. For contests, this will be part of the judging…
