Animals: Choose an animal. Write about it!

We adopted a second dog when we were newlyweds. We didn’t wake up in the morning with intent of getting another dog. We hadn’t thought much passed morning coffee.

We went outside to take our first dog for a walk and realized the neighbors across the way had moved out and left their puppy behind. Us being animal lovers with a dog and a cat, we were left with a feeling of pity and convinced the apartment manager to let us in to retrieve the dog.

We told ourselves it would be temporary, until we found her a new home. Today…
