Workplace teaches you a lot of lessons which you can use in every part of your life. The earlier you got to know these lessons, the better you survive in your professional life. Some of the freshers take much time to understand the professional life and workplace environment. Maybe I was one of them. So, it took eleven months to visualize the real persons behind the masks. These are some lessons which I want everyone to have a read and grasp in their minds.

  1. No one is your friend in your office, laboratory or department. Everyone is your colleague. So, there is no need to build any emotions.
  2. Never share your personal things or ideas with your colleagues. Because they can use it anytime for their own purpose or against you.
  3. Do not do more than what is your job. Only do what is required because you will not only remain unpaid for extra work, but your colleagues will take you for granted to make you do their part as well.
  4. Do not help your colleague until it is not asked for. Instead of thinking being kind of yourself, your colleagues can take it personal.
  5. Prioritize your own work, because no one is going to reward you for your compromises. At the end the only thing you will have, will be your own personal growth.
  6. Try to build your connection with your boss, supervisor or manager because they are the real authorities. If their support is with you, then you can have smooth way for your success with hard work consistency and dedication.

So, before entering your professional life try to understand and memorize these points which I learned after a hard time.
