He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, and intertwined his fingers with hers.

“Be mine.” He whispered into her ear. “Be my valentine.”

She leaned into his chest, winding an arm behind her and placing it on the back of his head. Her other hand came to his. Closing her eyes and taking in his warmth, she swayed to the music. Twirling out of his grasp, she smiled seductively.

“No, be mine.” She answered, as he flew across the room to take her back into his arms.

“Then let’s be each others.” He answered, drawing her close.

She turned, leaning back, before jerking back toward him. Placing a hand behind his neck and sliding it down his back, she smiled at him. Enticing him.

“Sure.” She breathed, now that their faces were inches away from each other. “As long as it’s not just for this Valentine's.”

“Forever then.” He answered, sliding his arms around her waist, still swaying to the rhythm of the saxophone behind them.

“In health and in sickness.” She agreed, her voice breathy, as the song came to a close.

“Till death does us apart.” He replied, pulling her face closer, now that it was silent. Closing his eyes, he pulled her closer, taking her lips into his.

A tongue interlocked with his, before pulling out.

“It’s a deal then.” She said with a mischievous wink, despite her heaving chest and breathy voice.

He smiled.

Returning the smile, she pulled his face towards hers, drawing him into another kiss.

They pulled apart. Just in time for the music to start again. Just in time for the next dance.

This story was inspired by some saxophone music and the “A Word A Day” writing prompt from the “Promptly Written” Publication for February 14th.
