gather your gratefulness
stretch your arms to embrace the
light that emits from being thankful
like a graceful bow

thank your lucky stars for their presence
the life you have
the love to give

nothing emanates more than true
happiness
a face that resembles shimmering light
on a pond

faces glow in perfect symmetry
a song that forever mends the heart

a happy face sets the day
you know why you are here,
where you have been, and where you
are going

a dance that quivers in excitement of
all that is good and to be thankful for

eyes twinkle in delight
your heart opens wider
there’s room for much more and many
as your thankfulness grows

everything old becomes newer upon
sight
a spirit of salvaging what’s left and
leaving rusted feelings to fritter away
