If you’re old enough to remember the original Star Trek TV series, you’ll recall the star ship Enterprise’s mission was “to boldly go where no man has gone before”.

(I know, a sexist statement in today’s world, but that was then.)

I’m going where I’ve never gone before, but not in the way you may imagine. No paragliding, bungee jumping, or space travel for me.

I’m on a journey to the center of my being — mind, heart, and soul.

My goal?

To seek clarity and restoration with fresh attitudes and activities. I’m alone on this quest to build a future far different from the past 40 years I shared with my soulmate, Mr H.

The discipline of daily routine has helped me travel beyond “we” to the kingdom of a more assertive “me”.

Nor more guilt or shame when I claim I’m enjoying my independence.

Rewiring my brain aka creating a new cortical map

Neuroplasticity is for real.

(My journey of depression from breakdown to breakthrough in my 40's proved it.)
