Another Poem About Physics

Walking, as a song,
a melody line on a map

thinking in beats:
thoughts expand to fill their container

molecules of solids are dense and tightly bonded
liquids — less so; gases — less so

and rhythm is a series of timed waves
and love is not a function of, but does rely on

sensory experience, wave after wave
from lighthouse to ship,

and you are at sea, on dips and crests
seeing light and hearing music.
