A new TV past time — Turkish drama series
My discovery and journey into the world of Turkish drama began with Erkenci Kus (Daydreamer/Earlybird) — the beautiful story of Jaan and Sanem. As expected, Youtube and Instagram bombarded me with lists of other offerings. The snag is finding videos with English subtitles. This was my challenge when attempting to watch Sen Cal Kapimi (You knock on my door) — The story of Eda and Serkan. I could not find a video with English subtitles on YouTube. I was however able to find another series with English subtitles — Bay Yanlis (Mr. Wrong/Mr. Error/Mr. Mistake) which is the story of Ezgi and Ozgur.
Bay Yanlis is a classic story of how one lie can be built into a skyscraper that eventually crashes down on everyone’s head. Add to that mix jealousy, envy, betrayal, distrust, hate, sibling and family rivalry, blackmail, treachery, and every other ingredient for explosive drama.
