Follow Your Muse

Empower Your Mind & Muse is the tagline I created for Miz Mindful a few years back. When I started my immersion into my blend of mindfulness, I believed my struggle as a misfit was because of the two sides of my brain. A self-proclaimed science and technology nerd blended with my artistic flair. But honestly, I have come to believe they are branches on the same tree.
The muse, in Greek mythology, is a combination of nine goddesses. They rule over comedy, tragedy, astronomy, dance, music, history, and three types of poetry: lyric, epic, and sacred. This leg of my journey, learning the language of poetry, is in essence, empowering my own mind and muse.
Today’s poem interpretation comes from Dr Michael Heng. He is a senior editor of ILLUMINATION Integrated publications on Medium. Dr. Heng published my first article on learning self-patience on ILLUMINATION. It was a joyous day in my writing journey.
He highlighted this line — “The reward is hearing that you made that difference with your words or art.”
