I am Alive!
Celebrate life more than any celebration……
I died before I saw my child go to school
How do I celebrate?
Wish I cherished my life when alive;
Wish I had celebrated each moment —
I held my baby close to my heart;
I woke up to the squabbles of my siblings;
I stood basking in the sun on a winter morn;
I got the hidden note in my closet, to smile;
I baked my first cake for mom’s birthday
I felt tremor for the warm lips on me
I went on stage to receive my graduation;
I got the first appointment letter;
I walked under the moonlight holding your hand;
I got the keys to my first car;
I wish I could once again hold my child close….
But, how do I now from this coffin?
Life is the best gift that we never bother to cherish until we know, we have but a few days to survive. We lost many lives even this year to the pandemic. So, we the ones who are fortunate enough to survive must celebrate LIFE more than anything else.
So, dear readers of the world, raise a toast to Life!
Cherish each breath you take and each moment you share with the people around you, coz No Life No Celebration.
So Here’s to Being Alive!!!!
