If I Don’t Mean Much to Him

I sure do mean enough to me

His love was her terror; she knew him even though he had become a stranger.
Life was grand, held love by the hands, and everything was all right.
But somehow, that all disappeared, and that love turned into darkness.
Once she realized what was happening, she still couldn’t see through the danger.

His love was hazed by “I’m sorry” and “I didn’t mean it”, lies from the deep.
She believed every apology, kiss, and gift bestowed by the enemy.
She lost all her hopes, dreams, and lifelong fantasies of what love is supposed to mean.

But she couldn’t see through the mists of the forgotten- the forgotten dreams.

Did he not remember who she was to him?
Did he forget what their love meant or how to see her?
Did he not know what each scar represented?
He was oblivious to every single terrorizing word!
