Place your bets everybody: welcome to the thirty-first week of writing prompts in 2024!

We’ve been trusting our instincts this month. But what if you don’t have good instincts? My brain is all a bit of a jumble this time of year, and I hate making decisions — so let’s take the pressure off and roll the dice on some zany, random writing prompts!

Each of this weeks prompts will contain an element of chance. You can either use a physical coin/dice to make the decision for you, or bow to the authority of a random number generator — or, if you’re feeling like a rule-breaker, just go ahead and pick what you want anyway.

In the game of life, there are no rules! Trust your gut, and do what feels right to you.
