If defiance had a colour, it will be the colour purple
strong, robust, and bold, like the furnace fire
ready to melt any metal

If desire had a colour, it will be a shadow of the colour purple
two sets of lips glistening with a gloss called desire
folding each other in their petals

If freedom had a colour it will be tinted by the colour purple
determined, decisive shades which conspire
to cross any hurdles,

If imagination had a colour, it will be the hue of colour purple
delicate, dreamy, fuzzy bursts of energy that inspire
one to aspire!

And if the Colour Purple had the freedom to choose its shades

let's imagine what would these be,

desire, or defiance!
