Shout Until You Are Heard
An autistic advocate’s descriptive poem about advocacy making a difference for marginalized groups in society.
Resolution to the pollution outside of your mind.
It never seems to dissolve.
You always remember the brick wall they designed.
Fighting and trying to break free,
You tell them “you will never be as resolute as me!
Give it all or nothing I say!
Tell them they must be resolved to change their mind and ways.
Never let them discourage your voice,
Fight and persevere;
You never know what problems dissolve.
What hatred your voice will make will disappear;
Your voice is not only an echo it is heard loud and clear!
You are the resolution to brick walls that cause all of your pain.
Use your might and will and voice, the walls you see will dissolve…
finally, melt away.
