the ampersand is the sexiest punctuation mark

the ampersand is the sexiest punctuation mark
& I dont case who knows it
& she doesnt either
because shes the one holding it together
& shes just sitting there reading her book
limbs loose & soft & serif
curves elegant & intentional
legs crossed & I swear she knows
I am watching & I am wondering
if she ties her thoughts in ribbons &
if her laughter curls like calligraphy &
I am lost in the shape of her &
on & on & looping & tilting &
she joins & links & weds & leaps
linking & leashing unlike things
like sounds & sense & sighs &
