August was a great month here at Promptly Written, I invite you to check out this month’s top writers. Don’t forget they are picked by you and it’s a great way to get a good feel for what readers are enjoying and gravitating towards at the moment. I even had to create a new category for a very special piece of work.

This month I’d like to invite you to think about mistakes, both the ones we make and the ones we fear making.

I’m a mother so I make mistakes daily, if not hourly, and I have had to learn to forgive myself, have compassion for myself and understand that no one has this life thing perfect, we’re just doing the best we can.

As a creative person the fear of mistakes can make you feel like a deer in headlights. Perfectionism has been one of my ultimate enemies and I’m willing to bet you’ve had your battles with it to.

We all make mistakes, they’re inevitable. Whether we say the wrong thing, make a mess, or forget something important. But the weight of them…
