Hello wonderful PW writers!

How are you all?

We had some great writing pass through our pages last month and your claps, views and readers propelled some new faces to the top writer spots so please do take at look at who won and give them some screentime, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

When I was mulling over ideas for this month’s theme I starting thinking about self awareness. One of the most confronting things I heard early on in my own journey was the idea that the things that stand out to us in others, the things that annoy and frustrate us, the things that we constantly moan about in them, are actually reflected parts of ourselves. The parts we wish we didn’t have to deal with or admit we hold.

For example, when talking to one of my closest friends, a woman I call a sister who I’ve known and loved for 20 years, I often feel a sense of frustration, an internal voice that wants to yell “why are you so irresponsible!”
