Nobody seems to have got a grip with the twenty-five thousand on this trip
No Covid passports, masks, or isolation for these resounding hypocrites

With their private jets and limos, and two diesel-guzzling cruise ships
Moored in the River Clyde as temporary home to their entourage
And thousands more police flown in to guard their stay
With major disruption and roads blocked off so they can travel safe
Leaving patients with hospital appointments cancelled to accommodate
These ‘world leaders’ and their hangers-on
Whilst the worst polluters don’t even come along
To the fiasco that is Glasgow 2021

Unlike us mere peasants in this pandemic
Video calls on the internet do not apply to them

These vultures are taking us for an expensive ride
Overindulging, spending millions while parts of the world still starve
A rumble of auto-cued speeches ghostwritten by sycophants full of blah
Snouts in the trough for one last hurrah
While voters wait, washed-out with rage that boils the very blood
As November the Fifth looms large, was Guy Fawkes…
