to myself, today, i will choose to be kind
letting go of the past, i will free my mind
today, i will allow myself to relax, to unwind
to myself, today, i will choose to be forgiving
overlooking ignorant mistakes and naïve sinning
today, i will allow myself to be more daring
to myself, today, i will choose to extend cheer
reassuringly, i will wipe off that tear
today, i will stand up for myself without fear
today, i will choose to love myself and persevere!
