Too Blind To See
Poetry
A foolish man is he
He is everything
He didn’t want to be
Too busy chasing bling
To see what he created
A world lacking dreams
With an ego he inflated
With failed, selfish schemes
She left him when it was apparent
His love for stuff was too much
Her tears were an impairment
To a man who lost his touch
With a love that once prevailed
All things were then possible
Love they eagerly inhaled
Until he morphed anarchical
Imprisoned in his greed he failed to see
The love that lovers share
All the endless possibilities
Now lost, beyond repair
Too blind to see the fallacy
Too stubborn to take the blame
Too lost in false realities
Too selfish to feel ashamed
He stumbles towards the unknown
He foolishly created
Lost but not alone
His demons keep him hated
