August has arrived and for the majority of the world this will be a month of families on vacation, a break from the hectic pace of everyday life and for many a sense of being in a half way space between one year and the next.
As the daughter of a teacher, September was always thought of as a new year and while my children are still young enough to be a part of the ‘summer holiday’ phase from their educations, I find I am very much enjoying sinking into a slowing down while I look forward at the ‘new year’.
