There once was a business owner with a unique foundation for his philosophy. No loss, no gain. He always made sure to value generosity more than greed. Usually giving more than he received, this unusual philanthropist became well-known across the world.

He owned a variety of companies, from used cars to manufacturing to coffee shops … yet his goal was to obtain no profit. If one business had more revenue than expenses, the dollars went into investments. In himself, in real estate, in others, and the returns continued to compound.

For years he was called a fool! A madman! How could anyone have such a preposterous mindset? Well, those who questioned his plan fell far behind him in the long run. During an interview, he was asked:

Why do you aim to spend all that you have?

After a moment of reflection, he replied:

My philosophy parallels the natural process. We come into this world with nothing, and we leave with nothing. All that I earn, I can not take with me, so I prefer to distribute everything I get. One must give up to grow up. Greed is the root of all evil, and generosity, somehow, cleanses the soul.
