David has been continuing to plug away on our smart contracts, writing smart contract tests in the Javascript library, Mocha, and doing assertions with Chai. He also is beginning work on the core ‘linking’ protocol for the EVS and has been looking into the assembly() calls for us to get deeper into the EVM. We will be doing some media on his findings in a bit.

We are thinking of doing a bit of a dev video journal once a week to talk about our findings and research.

We also did some work on the price spec contract but ended up scrapping a lot of what was done in favor of a better design pattern. We should have some smart contract pushes up for you here soon.

Here is a brief rundown of some of the upcoming changes for the dashboard:

  • Adding ERC20 symbol
  • Updated Verification Picture
  • Tokens can no longer be created from an user that belongs to an organization, for that organization. Users that wish to create tokens for their organizations now need to select the right management access

For me, this week was more of an action packed week for marketing and presentation leading up to the WBF conference this September. We have been doing some exciting R&D behind the scenes while David has been hard at work integrating the first of the Proof Libraries on the blockchain.

I spent most of the week learning how to do stylings in BBCode for Bitcointalk.org . Some thoughts: it’s a more bracket heavy stripped down markup than HTML but I have grown to like how explicit it is. I was fooling around with some styling and then handed it off to a designer who built our forum signatures from the templates.

Although it isn’t ‘coding’ per-se, working and tweaking ascii is kind of fun. That said, anything here that looks good is due to the hard work of one Lee Harris.

I also put together our new bitcoin talk thread in BBCode which was a bit arduous but working on it got me more accustomed to my new Macbook.

We have a list of bugs from our slack community we will be pushing up next week as well as streamlining some of the UI/UX and removing some deprecated elements.
