We are Hiring: Finance Associate (Based in The Netherlands)

Part time: start 20 hrs/week, potentially leading to a full time package

Proof of Impact is in a growth phase — we have secured a few exciting partnerships and structured a few innovative products that we are now bringing to market. We are now looking for an Operational Finance Associate to take overall responsibility of the finance function of our growing global operations. This position is very well suited for a finance professional who wants to take full responsibility in a fast-growing, global enterprise while maintaining flexibility.

The Finance Associate will:

• Prepare quarterly & accounts and reports;
• Prepare the statutory accounts
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process
• Financial modelling and scenario planning
• Help to prepare for investor meetings
• Do monthly administration, invoicing and payroll management;
• Support with completing payments and maintaining and filing expenses/ accounting;
• Complete VAT returns (with support from an adviser) as well as other formal reports as required;
• Support with any tasks related to interactions between the various teams and various entities, partners and shareholders;
• Following up on & fulfilling government tax and reporting obligations
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required.
• Ensure proper controls are in place
• Suggest and implement changes and improvements
• Liaise with auditors

The requirements

• A bachelor or master degree in accounting or finance;
• Operational experience in fast growing environments;
• ES/ERP experience;
• Familiarity with investment products/ financial sector;
• Speak Dutch and English fluently;
• Attention to detail;
• The confidence to proactively grasp problems/challenges/opportunities even if they are not direct responsibilities;
