The ongoing clash between Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Israel emerges as an extremely destructive war, making it one of the most devastating conflicts in recent history. This prolonged battle, which began towards the end of 2018, has unleashed numerous humanitarian crises and caused severe harm to both sides involved. However, amidst the chaos and devastation, another tragedy unfolds — the role played by propaganda during these hostilities. Hamas, originating from Gaza, possesses significant influence over Palestinian territories due to its strong grassroots support. It is rooted in resistance against Israeli occupation through armed struggle, and their unwavering commitment to defending their homeland at any cost defines their ideology. On the other hand, Israel’s primary objective lies in self-defense, aiming to prevent Hamas’ rocket attacks on civilian areas. Consequently, these clashes led to immense casualties and forced millions of people to flee their homes. Critical infrastructure has been destroyed, and countless individuals have suffered immeasurable pain in the crossfire. With escalating tensions teetering towards open confrontation, both sides resorted to various forms of propaganda in order to manipulate public opinion both at home and abroad. Propaganda generally falls into two categories — white propaganda or ‘propaganda of fact,’ which presents information straightforwardly without distortion, and black propaganda or ‘black’ propaganda, which involves deliberate misinformation or disinformation.

Israeli authorities heavily relied on the use of white propaganda, placing primary emphasis on showcasing military operations targeting Hamas militants while downplaying the extent of civilian casualties. They underscored their right to defend themselves, citing repeated provocations and the threats posed by Hamas rockets. Prominent media outlets such as CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, and Voice of America provided comprehensive coverage of Israeli strikes on Hamas targets, often highlighting the destruction inflicted upon weapons caches and terrorist facilities. These images painted Israel as a justified aggressor, fighting against an existential threat. Hamas extensively employed black propaganda techniques, intentionally disseminating falsehoods to portray Israel as an enemy committing genocide against Muslims. Social media platforms became their primary tool, as they manipulated public sentiment through fake accounts, doctored videos, and fabricated stories of innocent civilians falling victim to Israeli forces. Moreover, they claimed responsibility for rocket launches, attempting to justify their actions under the guise of retaliation.

This unbalanced use of propaganda reflects a larger, global pattern where conflicts are no longer confined to physical realms but extend into the domain of perception and narrative shaping. It highlights how powerful entities exploit communication technologies to mold public opinion, deepen divisions, and further their own interests, even against overwhelming odds. However, it is crucial to note that despite the prevalence of propaganda, maintaining accurate reporting remains vital in upholding transparency and truthfulness. In today’s digital age, fake news at an alarming rate, making it increasingly challenging for individuals to distinguish reality from deception. Therefore, fostering critical thinking skills among citizens becomes imperative in countering the adverse effects of biased messaging.

In conclusion, the war between Hamas and Israel serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences brought about by propaganda during times of conflict. As technology continues to advance, so does the power of manipulation through mass media, necessitating heightened vigilance and awareness among global audiences.

Script: Hello everyone, and today I will be talking about what is going on in Gaza, Palestine. There have been many expressed fears about the many deaths that have occurred from the Israel-Hamas war. So far they have counted 8306 deaths in Gaza. And the occupied of us paying more than 110 Palestinians have been killed in violence in Israeli raids. And Israel, most of the deaths have been from civilians being slammed and that is more than 1400 people and 239 hostages were taken from Israel to Gaza by the militant group. So far to combat this war, the Canadian foreign affairs minister, Melanie, Joly said that a humanitarian agreement is urgently needed to help people in the Gaza Strip. More Palestinian people need the help because many innocent Palestinian, women and children are dying due to this, and receiving very grim fates. Hamas went into attack. Israel and the Israelis had a right to defend itself against terrorism, according with international law. The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees as a warning that an in and median humanitarian cease-fire has become a matter of life and death for millions to the point where are the president future of Palestinians and Israelis depend on it. It’s a sad thing too because of Hamas many innocent Palestinians have been trapped in this war, and most of them have to deal with these fatal consequences so a lot of them have to do their best and survive from these bombings and warfare. With this war going on, unfortunately, overall living conditions for the Turkish Palestinian people. There was one report notified throughout this whole war, in Cairo that one of the doctors Sobhi Skeik. Director of the Turkish Palenstinian hospital has been notified that two rooms on the third floor of the small hospital. The bombing partially destroyed and really damaged the buildings, oxygen system and water supply. This means that many injured civilians have to be housed somewhere else throughout the country that is far away from the war. Going over what’s been happening and it is really terrible to know that all of these people have been living a rough life, losing kids, brother, sisters, husbands, etc. Hopefully one of these days that this world will come to end and then there will no longer be any casualties of war. Also due to this war, there has been inflation in oil and other necessities to run a simple decent life. On November 1 Gaza’s refugee camp has been hit by second airstrike by the Palestinians. On top of the humus release, two violent videos of fighters emerging from tunnels when they were fighting their opposition. Bombing continue to happen between Palestine and Israel. It matters have not been getting better for the civilians that have to do nothing but trying to survive and wait till it’s over.
