Whether you are a first-time homeowner or you’ve been around the block a few times, managing a home can sometimes feel like its own full-time job. That’s why I feel as a real estate agent, my job is more than just assisting you in selling or buying a home. My passion is also helping you feel more efficient once you’ve moved in to your new humble abode. Some of my favorite home hacks are “laundry hacks,” because as we all know, there will never be a shortage of laundry in the hamper!

Below are 3 quick laundry hacks you can do today. Check them out below!

1. Homemade Dryer Sheets

  • Large glass jar
  • Fabric scraps (felt or flannel)
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • Essential oil (lavender, lemon grass)

Cut fabric in dryer-sheet size pieces. Fill jar with two cups white vinegar and add drops of essential oil for a fresh scent. Place fabric scraps in jar until all the liquid is soaked up. Homemade dryer sheets should be damp when used!

2. Laundry Detergent Tabs

  • Baking soda
  • Ice tray
  • White vinegar in a spray bottle
  • Bowl

Put baking soda in a bowl. Using a spray bottle, spray white vinegar into the bowl until the baking soda is damp enough that it sticks into a ball when you pack it in your hand. Place balls of baking soda into an ice cube tray and wait 12 hours for baking soda to harden.

3. DIY Laundry Softener

  • 6 cups hot water
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 1 bottle hair conditioner

Mix hot water and entire bottle of hair conditioner into a bowl. Once fully mixed and dissolved, add white vinegar and pour into a container.
