Ten Books To Read Before You Die #BBYD

Books Before You Die

Here at Prose, it’s no secret that we love books. If it wasn’t for books, we wouldn’t be doing what it is that we do now. That seems to be the case for most of the people that we interact with. Hardly a surprise. It’s also very widely acknowledged that in order to write, then we must read.

“If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that.” — Stephen King

Over the last few months, and for many months to come, we ask the question of everyone that we interview — what one book would they recommend everybody reads before they die. Prose Partner Paul is gradually working through them and agreeing or disagreeing on the choices within reviews on this blog site.

The question has gone to Prosers, Prose Partners, poets, authors, screenwriters, spoken word poets, comedians, amateur writers all the way up to huge bestselling authors. What is their Book Before You Die?

Above all others, which single tome do people attach the most importance to? The range and genres differ hugely, and it’s interesting to see everybody’s selections, sometime the very source of the creative flame that now burns within them. And so with that, we bring you our first ten #BBYD on a beautiful infographic by our magnificent Karen.

There are many more to come, as we’ll keep on asking. Your comments and suggestions are welcomed!
