A short analysis of anxiety

What is wrong with you?

Why are you so anxious?

Why are you not sleeping at night?

Why are you eating when you are not hungry?

Why are you snapping at people when they have done you no harm?

Some of us are shipwrecked emotionally and exhausted.

We rarely take breaks when we work; a staycation is not something we think we need.

Some of us are physically unhealthy, and we wonder why we are anxious.

This story on anxiety is not meant to point fingers but to put a stop sign in the face of the one who thinks they can continue full speed ahead with no breaks.

After we reach a certain age, we look ill-prepared for life, blaming our parents, environment, or education level for some of our choices.

Own where you are; are you overspending because you have abandonment issues?

Own it and seek the help you may need.

If you are in a poor relationship because you are afraid to be alone, say that and learn to embrace who you are.

It’s okay not to have all the answers; no one does.

With that said, living a life full of anxiety is not a life at all.

Every tool that I provide as a therapist takes time.

No one can come out of years of making poor choices and begin making emotionally healthy choices tomorrow.

Let time be your friend.

Now, for the rest who recognize we have more time behind us than in front of us, let’s own what we have allowed.

Eliminate what you know is not working. Increase your healthy habits and, day by day, embrace the healing process.

Block anxiety like you would an unwanted guest.

Thank you for reading.

Be Well!
