A short prose about allowing the joy to come inside your life

When you have been fractured, wounded or battered, joy has a hard time finding you ~ Author

Try as might, gloom and doom will come at night.
Hope and joy are not always on your side and some days you want to run and hide.

Adults and teens seem so keen when they want to scream.
Fractured by what happened and bruised by someone you knew it has happened to all of us and we had no one who knew.

Each day has a different vibe and still, you try not to dive.
You understand someone may be watching your hand, one glance, no chance you refuse to cry.

You think it may be all in your head and then you realize no in what’s in my house instead. Some harm does not come from the foes we know but from the friends, we hold close.

Tiny drops of light can bring on a smile, a glance for the next ray shining in the sand. No more room for gloom I must take my flight while it is still light.

The sun that shines in me and the joy that holds it neatly, it’s a delight to know I have the power to let in any light.

Don’t wait to smile, find out while there is no trial, embrace the joy within it can be a friend and don’t forget to let the sunshine in.

Thanks for reading

Be well!
