A story about capturing the feeling of summer

A note for the summer:

The summer means different things to different people.

For me, the summer presents a reset for the new, exciting, and unknown.

I’m a planner, and life has taught me that you cannot prepare for everything.

I decided to guard my peace like my life depends on it because it does.

I decided to stay out of my adult children’s business unless it’s a warranty.

I decided to pay more attention to my inner man while not neglecting my outer man.

I decided life is more than what my eyes can see.

I decided to be more mindful of spending on frivolous things.

I decided I didn’t have to get the last word in every conversation.

I decided I liked who I was becoming, and I didn’t need the constant approval of people.

I decided to enjoy the sun shining early in the morning.

I decided to shed all unforgiveness for myself, not for the person who offended me.

I decided to smile because I wanted to.

I decided to give because I could.

I decided to let go of the past because it would not serve me in the future.

I decided not to don’t complain, not because it doesn’t matter, but because others have it far worse.

I decided I would get the kind of day I expected.

I decided not to give people my day who do not value me.

I decided to put myself first while not excluding others.

I decided that life will give you most of what you sow into it.

I decided I was one decision away from who I wanted to be.

I decided this summer would be one of the greatest thus far.

What is your note to yourself this summer?

Thank you for reading.

Be Well!
