Today I pondered the thought of criticism; its effects and how it is woven into our culture.

I present to you “ who asked you anyway”

As morning broke upon my window

a thought crossed my mind

but

it was intertwined;

with the grueling opinions

of every kind

none felt true

nor

did they comfort my soul

instead, as I lay in this bed

words swirling in my head

again I ponder
