Keeping the Prose community healthy and safe

We recognize that — now more than ever — it’s an extremely challenging time for many individuals across the world. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been implementing increased measures to continue to focus on the health and well-being of our customers, our employees and our community as a whole.

As a Certified B Corporation, we want to continue delivering on our promise of being a transparent company, and break down some of the specific measures we’re taking, as a result of the current pandemic. We hope this offers a piece of certainty during a time of uncertainty.

Keeping Our Employees Healthy + Safe

Since the start of COVID-19, we immediately implemented a special task force to ensure our larger team is cared for and everyone can fulfill their job duties. While all of our employees based out of our Brooklyn and Paris offices have been asked to work from home, our factory can remain open for business safely and responsibly. Any employee who feels sick has been kindly asked to remain home and recover. We have taken every possible precaution to keep the conditions of our Brooklyn factory health, clean and COVID-free.

Some of these measures include:

• Increased sanitation and cleaning through the entire facility, using CDC approved products (please note, this is on top of our normal, exceptional manufacturing processes)
• Continued use of latex gloves
• Increased hand washing
• Rearrangement of the factory and implementation of new processes to ensure all personnel are always at least 6ft away from each other

Continued Support For Our Employees

Every day, we at Prose set out to develop custom, made-to-order products using high-quality ingredients, in an effort to give our customers a best-in-class hair routine. Like most other businesses around the world, we have recently had to adapt our daily routines and find new ways to remain efficient, while also keeping our health and safety at the forefront.

We realize that for some, working from home can present its own challenges. Our dedicated COVID-19 task force is taking extra steps to ensure our team is cared for and everyone can fulfill their job duties.

• We have implemented a new interim child care policy
• We’ve developed a private, ride-app coverage plan for those employees based in our Brooklyn factory, so they can avoid using public transportation
• As usual, for anyone who is sick, we have a paid sick leave policy

We’re committed to doing everything we possibly can to offer our employees a little extra relief during these challenging times.
