The prediction mining is back!

Greetings, Pros fam! It’s been awhile since our platform went offline to fix the current oracle issues, but now we are pleased to inform you that all problems have been resolved and we are getting ready to go back online! To celebrate Prosper Protocol restart, we will launch the second stage of the prediction mining campaign. If you missed the previous one, we recommend you to read the detailed guide about prediction mining. During the last campaign, we’ve achieved over $4,000,000 in protocol volumes and over $70,000 of fees, which were contributed to the DAO treasury. All the fees collected during this stage of the prediction mining campaign will be also transferred to DAO treasury and used to buyback tokens from the secondary market in order to benefit token holders.

We are not going to stop here: after the second stage of the prediction mining will end, we will immediately launch the third one, featuring $PROS price predictions, staking and some other benefits for token holders, so stay tuned!

Limits and mining pools

Total number of prediction pools: 672
Total prize pool: 70,000 $PROS
Daily prize pool: 10,000 $PROS

$BNB/BNB: 2,000 $PROS/day
$BNB/USDC: 3,000 $PROS/day
$ETH/BNB: 2,000 $PROS/day
$ETH/USDC: 3,000 $PROS/day

General rules

During 7 days of the campaign users can mine 70,000 $PROS tokens for making their predictions at https://beta.prosper.so. We will distribute 416,66 $PROS per hour among all the users based on their prediction volume.

Remember, that you can make predictions in both directions to reduce your risks. If you would like to predict on opposite sides, use two different wallets.

This time we’ve divided hourly reward pool on 4 parts:

1. $BNB/BNB: BNB price predictions made in BNB. Daily reward pool: 2,000 $PROS.
2. $BNB/USDC: BNB price predictions made in USDC. Daily reward pool: 3,000 $PROS.
3. $ETH/BNB: ETH price predictions made in BNB. Daily reward pool: 2,000 $PROS.
4. $ETH/USDC: ETH price predictions made in USDC. Daily reward pool: 3,000 $PROS.

During each hour we will collect a list of wallets that made predictions in each pool and create a TOP list of them in terms of volume. Each pool has its own TOP list and own Reward Pool, so you can make predictions in multiple pools.

Hourly reward pools will be distributed across all wallets based on their share in the hourly pool volume.

We know that it sounds confusing a bit, so let’s explain how the mechanism works by the following example:

During the period of 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Jack has made several predictions: 40 $BNB at the $BNB/BNB prediction pool, 900 USDC at $BNB/USDC pool, 50 $BNB at $ETH/BNB pool.

Jack’s hourly prediction volume:

1. 40 BNB in $BNB/BNB;
2. 900 USDC in $BNB/USDC;
3. 50 BNB in $ETH/BNB;

During the period of 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM John has made several predictions: 100 $BNB at the $BNB/BNB prediction pool, 1500 USDC at $BNB/USDC pool, 4000 USDC at $ETH/USDC pool.

John’s hourly prediction volume:

1. 100 BNB in $BNB/BNB;
2. 1500 USDC in $BNB/USDC;
3. 4000 USDC in $ETH/USDC;

During the period of 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Alex has made several predictions: 200 $BNB at the $BNB/BNB prediction pool, 2000 USDC at $BNB/USDC pool, 300 $BNB at the $ETH/BNB pool and 5000 USDC at $ETH/USDC pool.

Alex’s hourly prediction volume:

1. 200 BNB in $BNB/BNB;
2. 2000 USDC in $BNB/USDC;
3. 300 BNB in $ETH/BNB;
4. 5000 USDC in $ETH/USDC;

Total prediction volume for the period of 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM for each is equal to the sum of Jack’s, John’s and Alex’s predictions:

1. For $BNB/BNB pool: 200 + 100 + 40 = 340 BNB;
2. For $BNB/USDC pool: 2000 + 1500 + 900 = 4400 USDC;
3. For $ETH/BNB pool: 300 + 50 = 350 BNB;
4. For $ETH/USDC pool: 4000 + 5000 = 9000 USDC;

Prosper has to distribute 416,66 $PROS between Jack, John and Alex based on their share of the total prediction volume in each pool:

Jack share

• From $BNB/BNB pool: 40/340 = 11,76% * 83,33 PROS (Hourly reward of $BNB/BNB pool) = 9,8 $PROS;
• From $BNB/USDC pool: 900/4400 = 20,5% * 125 PROS (Hourly reward of $BNB/USDC pool) = 25,625 $PROS;
• From $ETH/BNB pool: 50/350 = 14,28% * 83,33 PROS (Hourly reward of $ETH/BNB pool) = 11,9 $PROS;

Total Jack’s reward per hour: 48,325 $PROS, per day: 1159,8 $PROS

John share

• From $BNB/BNB pool: 100/340 = 29,41% * 83,33 PROS (Hourly reward of $BNB/BNB pool) = 24,5 $PROS;
• From $BNB/USDC pool: 1500/4400 = 34,1% * 125 PROS (Hourly reward of $BNB/USDC pool) = 42,61 $PROS;
• From $ETH/USDC pool: 4000/9000 = 44,44% * 125 PROS (Hourly reward of $ETH/USDC pool) = 55,55 $PROS;

Total Jack’s reward per hour: 122,66 $PROS, per day: 2943,84 $PROS

Alex share

• From $BNB/BNB pool: 200/340 = 58,82% * 83,33 PROS (Hourly reward of $BNB/BNB pool) = 49 $PROS;
• From $BNB/USDC pool: 2000/4400 = 45,45% * 125 PROS (Hourly reward of $BNB/USDC pool) = 56,81 $PROS;
• From $ETH/BNB pool: 300/350 = 85,71% * 83,33 PROS (Hourly reward of $ETH/BNB pool) = 71,42 $PROS;
• From $ETH/USDC pool: 5000/9000 = 55,55% * 125 PROS (Hourly reward of $ETH/USDC pool) = 69,44 $PROS;

Total Jack’s reward per hour: 246,67 $PROS, per day: 5920,08 $PROS
