[TUTORIAL] Predict on PROSPER with AVALANCHE ($AVAX)
The Prosper Prediction platform is an Decentralized Prediction Market application allowing users to predict on a set of pools and get a chance to multiply their assets.
Prosper uses the Chainlink Oracle feed to guarantee impartial conditions, and is fully transparent and decentralized on-chain. It is a non-custodial application, which means the users place predictions from their own wallets, as opposed to depositing to a centralized repository — currently users are able to interact with Prosper via Metamask.
You will find below a guide to start predicting on Prosper prediction pools using the Avalanche chain and its $AVAX token.
Step 1 : Get Metamask
Prosper is a non-custodial platform, which means you will need to have your own wallet and connect it to the platform. We recommend using Metamask.
If you don’t have a Metamask account yet, please follow this link to download metamask extension for your browser : Download Metamask
Follow the steps to open your own metamask account.
Step 2 : Set up Avalanche Network on Metamask
Once your Metamask wallet is ready, you will need to manually add the Avalanche chain to it, as Metamask is natively set up on the Ethereum network.
To do so, click on the “Account” picture (1) then “Settings” (2)
In “Settings” go to “Networks” (3) then click on “Add Network” (4)
In the “Network” window, paste the following parameters :
- Network Name: Avalanche Network
- New RPC URL: https://api.avax.network/ext/bc/C/rpc
- ChainID: 0xa86a
- Symbol: AVAX
- Explorer: https://cchain.explorer.avax.network/
Then click on “Save” (5) and verify the Avalanche Network has been properly added to you networks (6)
You can switch networks by using the drop-down menu from the top of your Metamask (7). If not selected yet, select Avalanche Network.
Your Metamask is now set up ont the Avalanche Network !
Step 3 : Set up your Avalanche Wallet
If you want to send some $AVAX to your Metamask Wallet, you will need to bridge the tokens bought on exchanges. To do so, you will need an Avalanche Wallet.
Download it here : https://wallet.avax.network/
Follow the steps to create your wallet.
You now have your own avalanche network adress that you can copy by clicking on the copy button (8)
Step 4: Send $AVAX to your Avalanche Wallet
You can now send $AVAX tokens from any CEX to your Avalanche Adress,
For example from Binance:
In your Binance account, click on “Withdraw” next to your AVAX binance wallet, then set up your transaction by pasting your Avalanche Wallet Adress (9) then selecting AVAX transfer (10). Select the amount you want to transfer and click Submit. Confirm your transaction through your 2FAs.
Your $AVAX tokens should arrive in your Avalanche Wallet pretty fast.
Step 5 : Send $AVAX from Avalanche wallet to Metamask Wallet
You can finally send some $AVAX tokens to your Metamask wallet adress after bridging it.
To do so, click on the Cross chain tab (11) in your Avalanche Wallet :
Bridge your $AVAX tokens by selecting X to C bridge (12), and click Confirm then Transfer.
Then go to the Send Tab (13). Make sure you select “C” as source (14), then paste your Metamask Adress (15)
You can copy your Metamask adress by clicking on it in your Metamask(8).
Click on “Confirm” then “Send” to finalize your transfer. You should Instantly see your $AVAX tokens in your Metamask account !
Step 6 : Connect Metamask to Prosper platform
This is the last step before you can start predicting !

Congratulations ! You are now ready to predict using your $AVAX tokens !
