How Attention Helps Achieve Your Goals

Think back to the example of James Allen in As a Man Thinketh. He equated the mind with a garden plot. You can just let it happen. The wind blows in seeds and you have a bunch of wild weeds. Or you consciously cultivate the crop, and you grow flowers or vegetables.
It’s true that your mind is the same way. But the stakes are a whole lot higher…
When you consciously cultivate your thoughts — astounding things can happen. And what that really comes down to, is the power of attention. What you give your attention to.
If you let distractions (emails, texts, breaking news alerts, etc.) steal your focus, you lose your motivation. But the more attention you give your goals, the more motivated you feel. And the more goals you achieve. So if you want to achieve more of your goals sooner, pay attention to your attention.
