As we work to open the Citizen safety network to Greater Los Angeles, we have been faced with a problem:

Citizen cannot protect a few specific cities in LA County due to encrypted municipal communications.

Citizen only works in cities and jurisdictions where we have access to first responder radio communication. If these sources are encrypted or otherwise unavailable, we cannot bring the Citizen safety network to your region.

The good news is that you can help!

By emailing, tweeting, or calling your local elected officials, you can show support for Citizen and help provide the access we need to bring this important safety utility to you.

Here is a list of regions where we are not yet capable of operating to due encrypted radios.

Find your region, hit the link to Email or Tweet your elected officials (the Tweet is already filled out!), and tell them to Open the public safety system and bring Citizen to my city! #ProtectMyCity
