ProtocolScout launches a free iFrame widget for websites and their visitors.

Calling all crypto savvy website owners!

Upgrade your site to web3 with our free iFrame widget for blockchain balances in 3 simple steps.

Your visitors can use the widget on your site to view balances for thousands of assets from 31 blockchains including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, Fantom, Solana, Astar, Base, Blast, Moonbeam, Klaytn… (full list)

… all they have to do is paste in a wallet/address, then click one button and the widget will search all the protocols automatically.

Accountants and auditors will appreciate the ability to export data to csv/Excel and search historical balances by date-and-hour.

Step 1: Try It

Copy this example address

0xA9D1e08C7793af67e9d92fe308d5697FB81d3E43

and use it to try our demo at https://protocolscout.com/widgets/

like this:

Then click the GET BALANCES button and the widget will deliver fresh information similar to these amounts at the time of writing:

Scroll to the right to see more information about each amount. Note the 2ndSource links for “Balance” — click them if you wish to re-validate the values in the widget agains sources like Etherscan, Solscan, Avascan etc.

Or use the pagination to scroll through the 157 balances from 10 networks of the 27 protocols we queried for this particular address.

The widget evaluates the address format against its list of 31 protocols to determine the 27 networks which are compatible with the address we submitted above.

Step 2: Customize

Use the MODIFY WIDGET button and set styling to fit your website:

A site with a vibrant theme could setup a widget a little bit like

Step 3: Deploy

Copy the html code from our widget demo and place the iFrame code with your styling into your website or WordPress

<iframe
src="https://widgets.protocolscout.com/?withHistoricalSearch
&withExampleAddress=0xA9D1e08C7793af67e9d92fe308d5697FB81d3E43
&titleColor=ADFF02
&titleBackgroundColor=8F00FF
&innerBordersColor=01BEFE
&headingsColor=FF7D00
&buttonBackgroundColor=FFDD00
&buttonColor=01BEFE"
style="border: 1px solid #FF006D; border-radius: 4px;
min-height: 680px; width: 100%; height:100%; min-width: 600px;"
title="balances-widget-with-date-hour"
>
</iframe>

Secret Sauce?

The widget runs in the visitor’s browser. It retrieves data into the user’s browser directly from the public RPC providers like Ankr, Allnodes, Blast API, Dwellir etc. — see the “Data Source” column, last to the right:

And each piece of information is easily verified: use the “2ndSource” to check on other explorers, or the “Validate” link to review the token smart contract and the “DataSource” link will lead you to the specific RPC operator whose public endpoint was used for the respective amount..
