šVisit to BWB 2022 (Blockchain Week in Busan)

This week, PENTALK has brought BWB 2022 (Blockchain Week in Busan) to all of you!
BWB 2022 is an event that was held for 3 days hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and sponsored by Binance, FTX, Huobi, and more!
As NFT Busan 2021 was held last year, BWB 2022 was an event to experience various insights and industry trends that followed the theme of āblockchain, city, and cultureā.
Busan seems to solidify and make its mark as a digital financial hub.
This year caught our eye much more than last year.
BWB 2022 was an event with much to see such as speeches and networking by industry stars, various NFTs, and global blockchain companies with booths!
Weāll introduce you to some booths that impressed the Protocon team!
THE FUTURECOMPANY
The first booth weād like to introduce is The FutureCompany. The FutureCompanyās core service is āMetaverse 2ā.
Metaverse 2 is a āserviceā that allows you to trade land in major cities all over the world based on Google Earth. This can be basically understood as buying and selling real estate within the metaverse. We personally enjoyed this and their explanation as their services are based on Google Earth, rather than dividing lands in the traditional āpixelā method.
Of course, Seoul, the capital of Korea, was said to be the most active (including volume) in trading. Theyāve said that cryptocurrency mining is also possible with various items within the metaverse. We look forward to what the metaverse linked to real estate can bring to us all in the future.
Medium
The second booth we visited was operated by Medium.
Medium introduced us to āHash Vegasā. This service can be basically understood as the Metaverse Casino.
Games that can be played in the casino such as baccarat and poker is brought to the metaverse. They will implement a function for you to exchange their āin-game currencyā for coins (virtual assets).
In addition, Medium also had a joint exhibition hall with the Metaverse and Busan Bank. The theme was āInto the Metaverseā, where the exhibition showcased banking, entertainment, and life within the metaverse.
DONBANGSEOK
The last place weād like to introduce is DONBANGSEOK (also known as money cushion) operated by ICRAFT. The name attracted us as we wanted to sit down as we visited many booths!
Weāve heard that DONBANGSEOK is a blockchain-based advertising marketing platform. DONBANGSEOK will be a platform that connects advertisers and consumers with quiz events, Gamification, user reviews, NFTs, and video advertisements through blockchain.
The point to mention is that a certain portion of advertising fees will be distributed in coins to users who watch ads or participate in events, creating mutualism.
They are currently operating on their own mainnet, but theyāve also said that they are planning to move to Polygon in the future.
I participated in the event and got 10 coins and a mask!

BWB 2022 was a bright and fun event! Although there are people who still think blockchain as a coin, BWB 2022 was an event that can change the perception of blockchain as it has infinite potential which can be used in various fields.
