Why should we support Tgrade?

The case for a public, decentralized, and secure blockchain is strong. Public blockchains are inherently resilient because they are operated by a network of independent node operators who follow a system of incentives and penalties to maintain alignment.

Tgrade — officially launched on June 27, 2022— is a blockchain designed to provide a highly secure and decentralized environment, specifically catering to high-value businesses. This model is sturdy and reliable, ensuring safety and robustness.

Tgrade introduced a novel consensus mechanism known as Proof of Engagement, building upon the established Proof of Stake concept. This innovative approach had its foundations laid in a paper published in 2020 and was put into practice with the launch of Tgrade. The mechanism has functioned as intended, with the expected level of engagement, the establishment of a well-regarded Oversight Community, and a scheduled half-life event that reduced engagement points by 50%, as planned.

The only setback has been the decline in the token’s price, which is in line with the broader trend seen in the cryptocurrency markets, influenced by the setbacks experienced by projects like Luna and FTX.

In summary, the fundamental aspects of Tgrade are sound. The network is operational and enjoys support from a dedicated community. The process of progressive decentralization over the past year has been successful. Initially, the project had centralized decision-making and leadership from a small group, but as envisioned, it has transitioned into a more community-driven and decentralized blockchain.

Decentralizing via Trusted Circles

The primary challenge for regulated businesses or those requiring knowledge about the source of funds and their counterparties lies in the use of pseudo-anonymous blockchain addresses. To address this issue, an on-chain governance system was developed to facilitate the establishment and management of permissioned groups.

In Tgrade, these permissioned groups are referred to as “Trusted Circles.” Tgrade has constructed a self-sovereign framework that upholds the decentralization principle. It incorporates a feature known as “Trusted Circles,” which serves as a self-sovereign governance framework capable of formulating rules and off-chain processes aligned with the relevant governing regulations. Notably, anyone can create a Trusted Circle, offering governance for maintaining a whitelist. This whitelist can, in turn, be employed by other DeFi projects to restrict access to a predefined set of approved investors.

Provalidator will continue support on Tgrade, please stay tuned for more of our announcements. Thank you!

About Provalidator

Provalidator is a professional Proof-of-Stake blockchain validator and decentralized infrastructure provider. We offer enterprise-level validation services to more than 30+ blockchain networks, safeguarding over $250 million (as of December 2022) in digital assets through our robust infrastructure. Our team has been operating validator nodes since 2018 starting with the Cosmos Hub, and is currently one of the most prominent validators in the Cosmos ecosystem.

At the heart of our operations is validator service, which are specialized servers or nodes in a blockchain network tasked with proposing, authenticating transactions, and incorporating new blocks into the blockchain. Our dedicated team is on standby around the clock, ensuring swift responses to any validator node concerns. We’ve implemented multi-layered security and monitoring systems to safeguard our infrastructure and prioritize interests of our delegators.

Our mission is to support blockchain infrastructure.
